Designer
I not only design the program and research but also design products for the fashion industry. I try to combine learning of human psychology, experience of Bangladeshi culture and colour, actively working with persons with lived experience to make products for the fashion industry. Working as a designer gives me the opportunity to empower persons with lived experience and expressing myself.
"Where human psychology meets Bangladeshi culture —
design becomes a language of empowerment."
Stone, Pearl & Thread
Alongside clothing I design handcrafted jewellery — freshwater pearl, agate and coloured stone, strung by hand. Smaller objects, the same intent: colour drawn from Bangladeshi life, made together with persons with lived experience.
Choosing
the Cloth
Every piece begins long before the first cut — with the weight of a fabric, the way it falls, how it holds light and colour. Sourcing is a quiet craft of its own, and it is where the character of a garment is settled.
The city is the first sketchbook — its rooftops, its colour, its people. Every design begins here, by looking out.
