Another CO -Design workshop has been conducted for The TRANSFORM Research - Bangladesh with community health workers. These workshops allow CHWs to share their insights, experiences, and expertise, ensuring that the resulting solutions are tailored to meet the needs of the community they serve.
The Mental Health Awareness program conducted by The TRANSFORM - Bangladesh research in Vialisa Foundation, Karail Adarshanagar, Banani, Dhaka. The program aimed to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and promote mental well-being within the community.
Started New Research as Co-PI with ICDDR,B to find out the impact of Digital Screen time on mental health and well being of school going children in Dhaka. It is a 18 months long cross sectional study where we will observe and measure the physical and psychosocial impact using different tools and try to find out its relation to unsupervised screen time.

One of my dreams is to ensure accessible and equitable mental health care for all. I am glad to have the opportunity to lead “Transforming Access to Care for Serious Mental Disorder in Slums- The TRANSFORM” in Bangladesh where we are trying to find out an innovative approach that might enhance the biomedical care help seeking among the person with serious mental disorders living in slum in Dhaka and Ibadan. The research work started in 2021 and we are doing trying to understand the current practice and help seeking pattern among the slum community through indepth interview and focus group discussions.
Due to the COVID-19, the frontline fighters of the pandemic have been facing mental health distress, harmful pressure, depression, uncertainty, and anxiety has drastically increased. Unfortunately, there is meager opportunity for mental health care support for professionals and changing the situation is a great challenge. At this moment, in order to keep the health workers lively and joyful apart from their mental health issues, Director General of Health Services and Save The Children launched a training program in 20 districts of Bangladesh.
Telepsychiatry Research and Innovation Network (TRIN) has been responsible for the working manual, training conduction, and completion. Regarding that matter, on April 5, 2022 the Civil Surgeon Office at Munshigonj arranged a conference, “Peer Support Training for Healthcare Workers.” Dr. Tanjir Rashid Soron, Managing Director of Telepsychiatry Research & Innovation Network, Psychologist Tanzina Chowdhury and Mahadi Hasan was present during the conference as well.
